BANGKOK,Thailand- On Monday morning, the fast car hit people crossing Sukhumvit Road which was in front of Rattanin Hospital. The accident caused 1 dead woman while other 4 people were seriously injured.
Pol.Maj. Klidsadi Piaklin the commanding officer of Thonglor police station declared that there was a car accident on Sukhumvit Road which was in front of Rattanin Hospital. The accident occurred in the morning of February 27 which was busy time that people were hurry to go to there offices, schools and universities. At 7.30 am while some people were crossing the road, a very fast car which was drove buy a young man suddenly ran into people who were on the road. As a result, the woman who was a commuter at GMM Grammy Company was directly hit. Her blood flowed from her mouth. Then, she died on the spot. Moreover, 4 people that were 2 university students, a merchant and a bank officer were seriously injured because they fell on the road.
A food seller who saw the accident said that “ The car ran very fast without caring signal of a traffic policeman. A car driver was a teenager. He looked like an intoxicated person”
Finally, the 20 years old driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. He was taken to Thonglor police station and was investigated for a cause of his fast drive. After this accident people in the area call for responsibility for the dead woman and other 4 injured people. They claimed that Thai government and Bangkok governor must pay great attention to people crossing the road. They also hoped that the young culprit must get great punishment and a car accident like this should not occur again. Pol.Maj. confirmed that the culprit must get great penalty and he must be responsible for the dead woman and injured people.
